Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Cost of a Venture into the Woods outdoor party?
We try to keep things uncomplicated – The cost of our parties is £225 for up to 14 young people. If you require additional guests, our charge is £20 per person to cover the cost of instructors and extra ingredients – such as bananas, chocolate and marshmallows. We ask for an initial booking deposit of £75 with the balance payable on the day of the party. If you decide to cancel, we are sorry but we are unable to refund any deposit payments.
How many children can attend the party?
The maximum number of children that can attend our outdoor parties is 18. We do ask that a responsible parent or grandparent remains with the group for the duration of the party. (1 adult per 12 children)
We ask that children attending the party are aged 6 and over. We do make an exception for younger siblings of the birthday boy or girl, of course subject to our prior approval. If any children under 4 are present, due to the risks present on the site, we must request that they remain with their parent at all times.
Our upper age limit for teenagers taking part is 17.
Are you insured and CRB/DBS cleared?
Yes, our Instructors have Enhanced DBS and we have Public Liability insurance for all events.
Is parking available?
Our Venture into the Woods Outdoor party locations vary, but we will always try and ensure we use a location with adequate parking. We will confirm this information when sending out the final details.
Is a Birthday Cake included?
Unfortunately, due to special dietary requirements of some children, we are unable to provide a celebration cake. Parents are however, welcome to bring along their own Birthday Cake. We will provide hand washing facilities, along with alcohol-free hand gel.
What food items are included?
As part of our adventure entertainments, we do provide Marshmallows, Chocolate and Bananas. We can also offer cakes made in oranges. If any of the children attending the party have any special dietary requirements, please let us know at least five days before the party date.
What happens if the weather isn’t very good?
We are able to continue our outdoor activities even if it rains, and we provide tarpaulins to give shelter for eating refreshments. The Kelly kettles and Cobbs can still be prepared under the tarps if necessary. However, it is the parents choice should they wish to postpone
Any special clothing requirements?
We will send you details of our clothing recommendations with the final booking information, but you can view our kit list here.
What do you need to bring?
Please bring along any additional party food and drinks for the children, as we are unable to provide fresh drinking water. If you plan to bring party bags for the children, can we ask you don’t include any party poppers, or plastic party decorations, that may be difficult to remove from the woodland area. If your child’s party is taking place during the summer months, you may wish to provide sun cream and insect repellent.
